The Appalachian Beekeeping Collective and a few of its' beekeepers have been featured by VOA (Voice of America) News in a recent segment, "Honeybees Help Displaced Workers in West Virginia".
The segment covers how beekeeping has helped give educational and financial opportunities to residents in an area impoverished by the decline of the coal mining industry. It also highlights the reasons why central Appalachia is an ideal environment for honey production.
