James Scyphers, a West Virginia resident, ex-coal miner, and beekeeper, describes how coal mining, and the subsequent decline of the industry affected him and his surrounding area. He says of the new training opportunities provided by the Collective, "I wish this group had been here 30 years ago... Our region needs it."
